Wednesday is an American live-action streaming series of the mystery and supernatural thriller genres. It is based on the character of Wednesday Addams as seen in the original The Addams Family sitcom series from 1964 as well as the feature films from the 1990s. The show was created by MGM Television, Glickmania and Miller Gough Ink. It began streaming on Netflix on November 23rd, 2022. The series stars Jenna Ortega in the titular role of Wednesday Addams. Now a teenager, she is admitted to Nevermore Academy - a special school for "outcasts", where she applies her great intellect and vast skill sets to solve a mystery that portends the fated destruction of the school. All the while, she must also balance her drive with her lack of social graces as she navigates the entanglements of both the staff and student body. Fortunately, Thing is there to lend a... well... a hand.
