Tyler Garcia Posey is an American actor born in Santa Monica, California on October 18th, 1991. His first professional film work was an uncredited bit role in the 2000 drama Men of Honor starring Robert De Niro. From 2001 to 2004 Tyler had a recurring role on the TV series Doc playing a character named Raul Garcia. He was credited under his full name for this program.

Tyler appeared in three episodes of the drama series Brothes & Sisters playing a character named Gabriel Whedon. He also appeared in the original unaired pilot of the series, where his character was actually named Gabriel Traylor. In 2009 he played Andrew Ortega in seven episodes of the TV series Lincoln Heights.

Tyler was considered for the role of angst-driven shape-shifter Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga film series, but the role ultimately went to former child star Taylor Lautner. Tyler seemed destined to get in on the werewolf action however and in 2011 he took on the lead role of Scott McCall in the Teen Wolf live-action television series.
