Total Recall 2070 is a science fiction television series first broadcast in 1999 on the Canadian television channel CHCH-TV and later the same year on the American Showtime channel. It was later syndicated in the United States with some editing to remove scenes of nudity, violence and (in most cases) strong language. The series was inspired by the film Total Recall, based on Philip K. Dick's short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale", and by Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, with a visual style heavily influenced by the film Blade Runner, itself very loosely based on the same novel. However, other than the Rekall company and the concept of virtual vacations, the series shares no major plot points or characters with any of these works. Philip K. Dick is not credited in any way on the series main or end titles.

Home Video[]
The two-part pilot episode, "Machine Dreams", was released in VHS format by Walt Disney Video on October 10th, 2000 and ran a total of 83 minutes. This serial was also released in DVD format by Echo Bridge Home Entertainment on May 10th, 2011. The pilot episodes were likewise included on the Miramax Action Series four pack, which included the films Renaissance, Fortress and Equilibrium. This collection was released by Echo Bridge Home Entertainment on May 3rd, 2011. Total Recall 2070: Machine Dreams was again packaged with Fortress as a double-feature DVD by Echo Bridge and was released on June 28th, 2011.
Total Recall 2070: The Complete Series was released as a six-disc boxset DVD collection by Alliance Atlantis Communications in Region 1 format in 2011 and ran a total of 968 minutes. The collection was re-released in a slimline jewel case.
