- A brief reference to Torchwood is made in the series two episode, "Rise of the Cybermen". In the episode, a newscaster from a parallel Earth exclaims how the Torchwood Institute released a new study. This reference is not particularly notable but for establishing that Torchood does exist on this parallel Earth as well.
