Notes & Trivia[]

  • The plot of this episode borrows heavily from the 1979 film Time After Time wherein Jack the Ripper steals a time machine and travels from 19th century London to Los Angeles, California of the present and only author and futurist H.G. Wells holds the key to stopping him.

Quotes[]

  • Jack Logan: It's going too fast. It's giving me a headache.
  • Claire Hemmings: That's because you're trying to make sense of everything you're seeing. Stop thinking. That should be easy for you, Logan.

....

  • Jack Logan: If you want my professional opinion, your little migraine machine is a bust.
  • Claire Hemmings: It's called a sublimator. And those images it was bombarding at you were absorbed directly into your subconscious.
  • Jack Logan: Great, so it's a waste of time I won't remember having.

....

  • Claire Hemmings: I just downloaded your subconscious mind with information about 1954 New York, and I can do the same thing for any era.
  • Jack Logan: Great. I'm sure every Jeopardy contestant in the world would love five minutes with you.

....

  • Jack Logan: Oh, thanks, Easter. I'm touched.
  • Dale Easter: Oh, don't be. It's worthless. Your temporal intervention has defiled a classic. What was once a glorious sea of words on parchment is now punctuated by a series of illustrations. Like literacy needed another foot in the grave.
