Biography[]

Rose Greer was a resident of Smallville, Kansas, though she was not born there. She had a daughter named Tina Greer, who suffered from a soft bone disease. Tina's condition seemed to go into remission following the 1989 meteor shower. Rose was the owner of an antique shop in the town. In 2001 she was hired to make some repairs on a lamp owned by Jonathan Kent.

Rose was aware of her daughter's sudden development of superhuman abilities as a result of exposure to the meteor rock. Tina had the ability to morph her shape into that of any person she chose to become. Tina assumed the form of Lex Luthor and stole a large sum of money from the Smallville Savings & Loan. When Rose found out about this, she confronted Tina at the top of the staircase in their home. The two struggled with one another, and Rose accidentally lost her footing and fell down the steps, breaking her neck.

Tina hid her mother's body in a locked armoir in the antique shop. She then assumed Rose's form in order to keep up appearances. [2]
