Only Murders in the Building is an American live-action half-hour dramedy and mystery television series. The show was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman and produced by 20th Century Fox Television, 40 Share Productions, Another Hoffman Story Productions, and Rhode Island Ave. Productions. It began airing as a streaming series on Hulu on Tuesday evenings on August 31st, 2021. The series stars Steve Martin as washed up actor Charles-Haden Savage, along with Martin Short as washed up stage director Oliver Putnam, and Selena Gomez as the mysterious Mabel Mora - all three of whom live in an expensive New York apartment building. The only other common ground between the three of them is that they are all obsessed with the same True Crime podcast. When an actual murder victim is discovered in their very building, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel become their own troupe of amateur sleuths to try to ferret out who killed unlikeable neighbor Tim Kono. Not even rock super-star Sting is safe from their investigative eye.
