Notes & Trivia[]

  • The Mummy reboot film series was created and developed by Stephen Sommers.
  • The second season of this program was billed under the subtitle of "Mummy: Secrets of the Medjai".
  • Rick O'Connell, Evy O'Connell, Jonathan Carnahan, Alex O'Connell, Ardeth Bay, Anck-Su-Namun and Imhotep are all characters who originated with the film series. All other characters were developed specifically for the animated series.
  • The events of this series take place in 1933, five years after the events of The Mummy Returns, which would make Alex O'Connell 12-years-old at the beginning of the series. He is 14-years-old by the end of season two.
  • Imhotep dies at the end of The Mummy Returns, thus generating some questions as to his presence in this series. This is not entirely implausible since resurrection is a common theme in the franchise. As the original film's tagline purports, "Death is only the beginning".
  • The Bracelet of Anubis was swallowed up along with the golden pyramid of Ahm Shere at the end of The Mummy Returns. Even if Alex O'Connell were to re-acquire the bracelet again, the lore of the film posits that he must rid himself of it within seven days or else he would die.
