Mehcad Jason McKinley Brooks is a television actor born in Austin, Texas on October 25th, 1980. His first credited work on a television series was playing Shawn Hodges in the "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" episode of Do Over. His first work in a recurring role was as Russell Clark on four episodes of the series Boston Public. His first billed role was in 2006 when he played Matthew Applewhite during season two of Desperate Housewives. In 2008 he appeared in seven episodes of The Game as a character named Jerome. Mehcad then went on to play "Eggs" Benedict Talley on season two of the HBO series True Blood. Following that, he had a recurring role on The Deep End as Malcolm Bennett. He played Rolly Marks on several episodes of My Generation before landing the role of Terrence King on the USA Network sports series Necessary Roughness. In 2015, Mehcad was cast a series regular on the CBS TV series Supergirl. Mehcad took on the role of veteran photojournalist James "Jimmy" Olsen, who moves from Metropolis to National City where he becomes a sidekick and friend to Supergirl.
