Medium is an American television series of the paranormal drama subgenre. It was created by Glenn Gordon Caron and loosely based on the life of Allison DuBois, a psychic consultant who has assisted U.S. law enforcement agencies in solving crimes. Medium ran for seven seasons between 2005 and 2011, spanning a total of 130 episodes. It was produced by Picturemaker Productions, Grammnet Productions and Paramount Network Television and originally aired on NBC from 2005 to 2009, after which, it was broadcast on CBS until it's discontinuation in 2011. Medium stars Patricia Arquette playing a fictionalized version of Allison DuBois, who uses her psychic visions to assist in the solving of crimes in Phoenix, Arizona. The show also stars Jake Weber, Miguel Sandoval, Sofia Vassilieva, Maria Lark and David Cubitt.
