Man from Atlantis was an American science fiction/adventure series that aired on NBC from March, 1977 to June of 1978. The first four episodes of the series were actually pilot telemovies which were broadcast from March to June. The regular series consisted of thirteen one hour long episodes, totalling seventeen episodes when combined with the telemovies. The show was produced by Herbert F. Solow, Herman Miller and the Solow Production Company. The series starred Patrick Duffy as Mark Harris, an amphibian amnesiac born with gills, fins and the ability to swim underwater indefinitely. Adding to his skills are his hyper-keen senses as well as enhanced strength and stamina which allows him to survive the heavy pressures of the ocean depths. He is discovered by the Foundation for Oceanic Research and aids Doctor Elizabeth Merrill (played by Belinda Montgomery) and C.W. Crawford (played by Alan Fudge) in their efforts to stop sea-faring criminals aboard their submersible research vessel, the Cetacean.
