"Dan Reid's Sacrifice" is the eighteenth episode of season four of the Western adventure series The Lone Ranger. It was directed by George Archainbaud and written by Gibson Fox and Ande Lamb based on concepts originally developed by Fran Striker. It first aired on ABC on January 6th, 1955. In this episode, the Lone Ranger and Tonto aid a short rancher who is so embarrassed by his lack of height he resorts to specially made platform shoes to add inches to his stature.
