Aledandra L. Doig is a Canadian film and television character actress born in Toronto, Ontario on June 8th, 1973. Lexa has certainly made her mark in the science fiction genre, appearing in numerous programs and film projects since 1994. Her first genre work in the science fiction genre was playing a cowgirl in an episode of William Shatner's TekWar. She later provided the voice of heroine Dale Arden in the 1996 animated Flash Gordon television series. She appeared in one episode of Earth: Final Conflict named "Abduction" just prior to being cast as a recurring character on the late Gene Roddenberry's sci-fi adventure series Andromeda. Lexa was a credited cast member throughout all five seasons of the series and played an artificial intelligence named Rommie. Following the discontinuation of the series, Lexa then appeared in four episodes of The 4400 playing a character named Wendy Paulson. She later made occasional appearances on season nine of Stargate SG-1 playing medical officer Carolyn Lam. In 2007, she appeared in two episodes of Eureka portraying the character of Doctor Anne Young. Never one to fully abandon medical scrubs, she played another doctor in the 2009 relaunch of V. This time, Doig acted the part of an alien physician named Doctor Leah Pearlman. She appeared in six episodes of the first season of the series. In 2012, Lexa began playing the role of Sonya Valentine on the Canadian sci-fi series Continuum.
