Kenzi is the name of a fictional human thief and private investigator, and one of the main characters on the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Played by actress Ksenia Solo, she was introduced in the series' first episode, "It's a Fae, Fae, Fae, Fae World" and has appeared in almost all subsequent episodes.
The actual pilot that sold the series to Showcase is [[Lost Girl: Vexed|"Vexed"] and was used as the eight episode of Season 1.
In a scene from "Can't See the Fae-Rest", we learn that Kenzi had accumulated a long rap sheet and employed many aliases while engaging in criminal activities: Kenzi McAdams, Kenzi Rogers, Kenzi Sommersby, Kenzi Williams, Meow Meow, Ninotchka Alexandrovich, Rhino Levine, Shaman Czigany, and Toni Soprano. It was a comedic moment in the episode; however, in the storyline of the series the character is recognized by and addressed as "Kenzi".
Kenzi sacrificed her life to save Bo at the end of "Dark Horse". Her body and soul was taken to Valhalla by the Valkyrie, Tamsin.
Overview[]
Kenzi is a young woman and best friend of Bo. She grew up a survivor, picking pockets off strangers to earn a living. Kenzi first met Bo after she accidentally imbibed a drugged alcoholic beverage given to her by a customer at the hotel that lounge that Bo had been working at. The perpetrator attempted to rape Kenzi in the elevator of the hotel, but Bo stopped him, using her Fae-born abilities as a succubus to siphon his life-energy out of him. Although Kenzi was hallucinating from the drugs at the time, she managed to record the incident on her iPhone and realized that Bo was something superhuman. Kenzi was awestruck by what she had discovered and determined to find out as much as she could concerning her newfound savior. She decided that she would become Bo's de facto sidekick.
