Joyner was an officer in the United States Army holding the rank of Lieutenant. While serving in Afghanistan, Joyner became the leader of a Special Forces unit called Shadowspire. Under Joyner's command, Shadowspire became a group of war profiteers dealing with drug trafficking in the Middle East.
