Jessica Phyllis Lange is an American film and television actress born in Cloquet, Minnesota on April 20th, 1949. Although she has been acting in films since the 1970s, Jessica Lange did not make an impact on the small-screen until 2011 when she was cast to play Constance Langdon on the FX Network series American Horror Story. She appeared in all thirteen episodes from season one. Come season two, the series changed it's storyline to American Horror Story: Asylum and Lange continued to star in the series, this time playing the role of non-nonsense nun Sister Jude Martin. For her role as Constance Langdon, Lange received the Primetime Emmy Award for the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie.
