Jane Curtin is an American comedienne and television actress born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on September 6th, 1947. Jane Curtin played several characters on Saturday Night Live between 1975 and 1980, but she is best known on the show for her portrayal of the Weekend Update news anchor.

She played Allie Lowell in the sitcom Kate & Allie where she co-starred with Susan Saint James. Jane Curtin played Sarah Marshall in all thirteen episodes of the TV series Working It Out. From 1996 to 2001, Jane played archaeology professor Mary Albright in the NBC sitcom, 3rd Rock from the Sun. Jane Curtin also played Charlene in The Librarian television movie starring ER and Falling Skies actor Noah Wyle.
