  • This episode is rated TV-PG.


  • Sam Scudder is based on a character of the same name who appeared in comic books published by DC Comics. He is one of Barry Allen's oldest and most notorious foes and first appeared in The Flash #105 in March, 1959.
  • Rosalind Dillon is loosely based on Roscoe Dillon, who is a costumed super-villain and foe of the Flash. He was introduced in The Flash #122 in August, 1961.
  • In the comics, Jesse Quick is actually a character named Jesse Chambers. She is from the mainstream continuity, although her parents, Johnny Chambers and Libby Lawrence were originally Earth-Two characters.
