Fear Itself was a short-lived horror anthology series created by Mick Garris and patterned in the style of Garris' previous television project, Masters of Horror. The series ran for thirteen episodes on Thursday evenings on NBC between June, 2008 and January, 2009. It was produced by Fear Itself Productions, Industry Entertainment and Lions Gate Entertainment. Though each episode was a self-contained story, several actors made recurring appearances including Niall Matter, Margherita Donato, Valerie Womack and Marie Zydek. Some notable directors lent their talents to episodes of the series including Garris himself, as well as Stuart Gordon, Brad Anderson, John Landis and Rob Schmidt.

Notes & Trivia[]
- The title for the series is derived from Franklin Roosevelt's First Inaugural Address in 1933, which contained the linem, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself".
- Fear Itself: The Complete First Season was released to DVD on September 15th, 2009. Despite its title, it is actually the only collection relating to the series.
- "Fear, Itself" was also the name of the fourth episode of season four of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
