Doctor Who: The Complete First Series is a five-disc DVD collection that includes all thirteen episodes from series one of the 2005 relaunch of the popular BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who. The collection was produced by BBC Video and released in region 1 format in the United States on July 4th, 2006. The collection includes several bonus features including cast and crew interviews, audio commentaries and the documentary special Doctor Who Confidential. Series one of Doctor Who starred Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor - a time traveling alien from the planet Gallifrey who befriends an English department store clerk from Chelsea named Rose Tyler. Together they soar off through time and space battling a menagerie of strange otherworldy foes including the Autons, killer robot spiders, alien wraiths and fan favorite villains - the Daleks.
