Dirt is an American drama television series created by Matthew Carnahan and his production company Matthew Carnahan Circus Products. The series was also produced by Coquette Productions, formed by the husband and wife team of Courteney Cox and David Arquette and ran for two seasons on the FX Network from 2007 to 2008. The first season ran for a standard 13 episodes, while season two was cut short, running only 7 episodes, totalling 20 episodes for the series as a whole.

Dirt stars Courteney Cox as Lucy Spiller, the editor-in-chief of a glossy tabloid magazine called DirtNow, based out of Los Angeles, California. Lucy's task is to dig deep, uncover and reveal all of the scandalous exploits of Hollywood high society including movie stars, atheletes and musicians. She is attended by her trusty, yet schizophrenic photographer Don Konkey and invests herself in the life of a washed-up action movie star named Holt McLaren. Behind the workaholic news editor however, is a woman with a tormented past, who must come to terms with her father's suicide, a bisexual brother, and a cantankerous mother who judges her at every turn.
