David Russell Straithairn is an American film and television actor. He was born in San Francisco, California on January 26th, 1949. Although he began appearing in television as early as 1964, his career did not truly pick up until the 1980s. In the 2010s, David Strahairn distinguished himself in the science fiction genre for his portrayal of Doctor Lee Rosen on the Syfy series Alphas.
