David Henesy was an American child actor born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey on October 20th, 1956. He is best known for playing the role of David Collins on the 1960s gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. David began his Dark Shadows career at the age of nine debuting in the fourth episode of the series and remaining throughout the duration of the program. He appeared in a total of 276 episodes of the series. Although he primarily played the role of David Collins, Henesy also played several of his central characters key ancestors via time travel flashbacks including Daniel Collins, Jamison Collins, Tad Collins and even a parallel time counterpart to Daniel Collins. Henesy reprised the role of David Collins for the 1970 House of Dark Shadows feature film.

Following the discontinuation of the series, Henesy did very few projects and eventually lost interest in acting altogether. He appeared in "The Thanksgiving Story" episode of The Waltons playing a youth named Jerry.

As an adult, David Henesy became a successful restaurant owner and manager with restaraunts in New York City and Panama.
