Caroline Channing is one of the two main co-stars of the CBS comedy series 2 Broke Girls. She is played by actress Beth Behrs and was introduced in the series' pilot episode.
Overview[]
Well-bred, well-cultured and well-educated, Caroline Channing grew up in one of the wealthiest families in Manhattan. Because of this, Caroline easily masters the social graces of upper class society. Or at least, she did until the day that her father was imprisoned for embezzling a large volume of money. With her assets frozen, Caroline was left with nothing but the shirt on her back and her pet horse, Chestnut. To make ends meet, she was forced to accept a position as a waitress at the Williamsburg Diner in Brooklyn. There she met her new roomate, co-worker and future BFF Max Black, who both chastises her for her lack of street knowledge, but yet appreciates her wit and intellect. In addition to earning a pittance at the Williamsburg Diner, Max and Caroline have launched their own cupcake baking business to supplement their meager income.
