Blood Ties is a Canadian television series of the crime drama genre with elements of supernatural romance and intrigue. It was developed for television by Peter Mohan based on a series of novels by Tanya Huff. The show was produced by Insight Film Studios and Kaleidoscope Entertainment One Hour Later Productions. It aired in Canada on CHUM Television and in the United States on Lifetime TV. The series ran for two seasons, spanning a total of twenty-two episodes. The show stars Christina Cox as a Toronto-based private detective named Vicki Nelson, who teams up with a 450-year-old vampire named Henry Fitzroy to solve crimes. All the while, she must also reconcile her unorthodox partnership with former lover, police detective Mike Celluci.
