"The Cooper/Kripke Inversion" is the fourteenth episode of season six of the comedy series The Big Bang Theory and the 126th episode of the series overall. It was directed by Mark Cendrowski and written by Steven Molaro, Jim Reynolds and Steve Holland based on a story treatment by Chuck Lorre, Eric Kaplan and Anthony Del Broccolo. The episode first aired on CBS on Thursday, January 31st, 2013.
In this episode, Sheldon Cooper is instructed to work with his nemesis Barry Kripke on a joint research project in which they have to share their findings with one another. Sheldon's ego takes a massive blow when he discovers that Kripke's paper is "leaps and bounds" more impressive than his own. Kripke theorizes that the reason why Sheldon is off of his game is because he is distracted by Amy Farrah Fowler.
Meanwhile, Howard Wolowitz spends a healthy chunk of Bernadette's earnings to purchase a 3D printer for the lab so that Koothrappali and he can fabricate custom made action figures in their likeness.
