Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Spider-Man was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. He was introduced in the fifteenth issue of the comic anthology series Amazing Fantasy, but went on to headline his own ongoing series as well as numerous spin-off titles.
- The Amazing Spider-Man was filmed in Los Angeles, California. However, the setting for the series was New York City.
- This series is actually the second live-action representation of the Spider-Man character. The first was a series of short vignettes featured in the PBS children's series The Electric Company. That version of Spider-Man did not speak, but occasionally intoned some strange sound effects such as an air horn or a hiccup. His webs were actually just black nets that he cast over evil-doers.
- The final episode, "The Chinese Web", aired as a two-part finale back-to-back on the same night.
